New York, NY (April 26, 2024) - Award-winning Boston-based, 20-year-old indie singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Veronica Lewis, brings us a new single, “Disconnected,” to announce her upcoming album, Too Late For Tears, for an August 16 release via Moonwink Records/Symphonic.

“Disconnected" is about the abrupt moment you lose someone. It’s grief suspended in time. Veronica notes, “I tried to capture the feeling of having someone you loved ripped from you. It’s the shock and the loss.”
Alongside her deeply emotive vocals, Veronica lays down haunting electric guitar riffs and piano, invoking the mood of a modern-day 'Wuthering Heights'. The official music video portrays the protagonist grappling with the departure of a loved one, haunted by their presence and driven to chase after them across windswept fields. In the song, the rhythm section propels the narrative forward with driving momentum, while the arrangement unfolds expansively and builds into the tragic, heart-breaking moment of discovery. The song was written for a close family friend, Nathaniel, who died of accidental drug poisoning and is dedicated to him.
The video, which premiered via Under the Radar, was shot on an abandoned farm in upstate, New York by Michael Beach. It portrays a scene of a shattered home and the loss of a young person.

Veronica wrote, produced, and performed all of the instruments (except acoustic drums Mike Walsh & Brennan Schedler) on Too Late For Tears.
